Meet Hilda Azefor, DNP, CRNP-PMH
Hilda Azefor is the founder of WholePath Psychiatric Services, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. With more than 11 years of nursing experience and a strong background in psychiatric care, Hilda is dedicated to helping individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
Hilda earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Capella University. She is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (CRNP-PMH) committed to providing evidence-based and individualized mental health treatment.
Her passion for mental health care was shaped by both professional experience and personal loss. Hilda became even more committed to creating a safe and understanding space for individuals struggling with mental health and substance use challenges. She has also witnessed firsthand the stigma that often surrounds mental health in underserved communities, inspiring her mission to provide accessible, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care.
At WholePath Psychiatric Services, Hilda takes a holistic and individualized approach to treatment that goes beyond medication management alone. She believes there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to mental health care and works collaboratively with each patient to develop treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and life experiences.
Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders. Services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, telehealth visits, and innovative treatments such as Spravato (esketamine) therapy for treatment-resistant depression.
Hilda’s goal is to create an environment where patients feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. She believes healing begins when people feel understood and supported without judgment.
